Yes! Very nice job If you make those wordlets people can call them what they like. It is a requirement that all hacks with publicly displayed text (on the public templates) anyway.

Yeahh, but I need to give the variables names and these names should be in perfect english and the descriptions, too. Are they understandable, so that everyone knows what they mean?

Sorry, no 'cos I think it's too much work of rehacking if new UBB versions are released for example UBB6.02 these days.

But these few wordlets you can easily edit by hand if necessary.
I'm still searching for improved english worlets!

What you CAN do for wordlets is incorporate the style of the Smilie hack by DPK or of the wordlets in Who's Online. It's going to become the standard in UBB Code hacking (common hack wordlets to be put in there).

I'll recommend checking DPK's documentation on that - it's the best thus far.

hmm.. when you apply the hack, the moderator column becomes bigger as the divider which splits the column into two is linked to the table around it.

it seem that the Monthly hits value will change after clear catch.

Dessimat0r, That seems to be a colspan problem. Somewhere in my instruction is said what to do if you need different table settings. You must change the colspan values to something that satisfies you, just experiment a lil bit with the values.

Bubble, The Monthly Hits Counter shows you all pagevies your UBB has and it's getting the new value if forum home is changed, because of the cache feature.

just one quick question, in March, our monthly hit count as 39,245.

Today is April 1, and in my control panel, the new count is at 10 hits. However, the stat in my forum still show at 39,245 hits.

I did clear the cache so many times. Any idea?

Bubble, I just tried it at my board and after clearing the cache the new number appeared.
So I hope this problem will be solved by one's own.

Everything is possible, but I know some boards there running both hacks without complications.

Yapluka, the featured member is randomly choosen. Some users like it to read their name on forum home, it's maybe a special honor for them.
Can someone tell me if there's the public display name or the login name shown?

Clearing the cache ups the hits count. What might it be? 6.02+fader+stats+WOL.

I did turn the cache off for testing and noticed that it did count sequentially. Turn it on and it will not count until you clear the cache. From what I am seeing anyway.

GimmeTech, The stats are only written to the cached version of forum home if changes occurs on your UBB, they aren't integrated like the who's online hack that is lways up2date.

Has someone tried this hack with Version 6.02 UBB?

1)i translated your wordlet in french... what can i do with it? do i have to give it to you or post it in the french section? i think it's a better idea to let you put the french wordlets in your hack directly.

2)Why you don't use Mods Wordlet Dev Kit create by DPK? With this, all hack will have de same wordlets file and will customizable by the cp... i install it and it works like a charme!

Ok, found some time today

I released Version 0.93 of this hack just now.

Fixed:

• Featured Member's public display name should now be shown
• 'Categories only' view has stats as well
• wordlet module by DPK integrated

This hacks seems to be ready for the finished mods forum, but I want to wait for further bugs. (hopefully there aren't any)
Please test someone this version with fresh files cos I don't know for sure if it works as desired with them.

I upgraded from 0.9 to 0.93 and anything works.

I have instaled the 0.90 version and it works great in my ubb6.01
But do i need to upgrade to 0.93 when the 0.90 works?
If so could you please make a upgrade text?

In the instructions it mentions removing the
"Total Posts and Topics Hack!". I currently have the news fader installed and would like both the News Fader (Which has the total posts/topics built in as you know) and your statistics to work in conjunction together. Would you mind giving me some suggestions as to how I would go about this, or if it would be ok to run both at the same time. I had both installed at one point in 6.01 and I just left the Fader as is. I didn't remove the TP&TH. It seemed as though the stats were not working correctly. I could be wrong about that though.

Another thing is that the TP&TH code that you ask to remove if installed isn't quite what I have for the code. I believe that the fader has a modified version of the TP&TH.

I have everything running pretty good. Just wanted to check on this before I screw it up.


PS. I have 6.03 running with WOL+NewsFader if that helps.

Webdaddie, please make sure that U have the wordlets installed properly! There is a mods_wordlet_install.txt file, did U do all instructions in it?

GimmeTech, at first I must say that I don't know if my hack works with versions higher than 6.01 cos I just hadn't the possibility to test it with higher versions.
If you want to use the TotalTopics and Posts Hack with the statistic hack, remove all from the TP&TH except:
If you need the hack only for the newsfader, I'm nearly sure that the Statistic Hack 0.93 is compatible with it, so undo this step: "** SKIP THIS STEP IF YOU HAVE ALREADY INSTALLED TOVOK'S ALL POSTS/ALL TOPICS HACK **" from the newsfader hack and install the Statistic Hack 0.93!
Then all should be working as desired...

After a short look, I think that the fader just leaves the codeblock out that is written as [ CODE ] in this post.

No it isn't, your UBB wouldn't work without that file, so search in noncgidir/Templates/public_forum_summary.pl!

It looks not bad where it is now, but it would be better looking if the Statistic Hack doesn't look like a Categorie, I would put it under the Legend Table, is that possible?

It was easily done with UBB5. I was even able to dress it up a bit. But now I have not a clue how it could be done. HELP!

Wow statistics via SSI on the main page, now that would be something. Perhaps if the data gets output to a file, yet we could have control 'manually' over the layout or something?

This was already requested by CNCR, I told him that this is to extravagantly for one request, but now as U all request SSI implementation I think I should work on it after I did some other things like make update instructions for this hack.

Is there any hack which uses SSI? I ask cos my last SSI experience was a long time ago and I have to fresh up my knowledge a lil bit before I start coding.

Quite a lot for UBB5, although UBB6 is a little new and so SSI tends to come later in hack development etc.

However, Whose Online and Active Topics can output via SSI, yet Active Topics is probably the best one to note.

One word of advise, it's probably better to off-load information in a pre-formatted basic HTML or .txt file for the stats - this keeps processing usage down. Of course it's up to you, it's just that SSI denotes flexibility and calling such data directly can cause conflicts with other formats and yadda yadda&#8230; I'm off to drink beer.
